The Turkmenistan-UAE business forum was held in Ashgabat

Today, the Turkmenistan-UAE business forum was held in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, to participate in which a delegation led by the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri arrived in the Turkmen capital.
The UAE delegation included leaders and representatives of government and business structures of a friendly country, large companies specializing in the fields of energy, digital technologies, trade, agriculture, food industry, construction and tourism.
The Turkmen side was represented by heads and specialists of a number of industry ministries and departments, State concerns, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and large companies.
The agenda of the forum included a wide range of issues related to the implementation of the trade, economic, export and investment potential of the two countries.
Opening the event, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev, emphasized its importance in the development of interstate cooperation in a wide range of areas and, above all, in the trade, economic, investment, industrial and energy sectors.
The forum participants were welcomed by the UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Tuq Al-Marri, who also emphasized his country’s commitment to the comprehensive development of mutually beneficial contacts with the Turkmen side.
During the business forum, presentations were made by: the Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, the Chairmen of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the UIET, a representative of the State Electric Power Corporation "Turkmenenergo" of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, as well as the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, heads of Emirati companies - "HK Associates", AMEA Power, Arabian Falcon Holding, ADIO.
The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the priority areas of which were the trade and economic sphere, the energy sector, transport and communications and a number of other sectors.
In the afternoon, on the sidelines of the business forum, bilateral meetings were held between Turkmen and Emirati companies, designed to intensify further areas of interaction.
As part of the forum, an exhibition was held at the Expo Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exposition of which reflected the pace of development and effectiveness of the implementation of international investment and national projects in all sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
