Guests at the OGT 2026 forum in Ashgabat to be welcomed by a humanoid robot named ALI
On October 21, the 31st International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2026” will open at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. According to the forum organizers, the exhibition’s primary technological highlight will be a humanoid robot named ALI, powered by artificial intelligence.
The humanoid robot is built on the Unitree G1 platform, developed by the leading Chinese robotics company Unitree Robotics. The name ALI stands for “Artificial Learning & Intelligence.”
At the forum, this intelligent android will serve as an official digital ambassador for innovation. ALI will welcome international delegates and exhibition guests, answer questions regarding the forum’s agenda and help attendees navigate the exhibition pavilions.
The android will also be capable of delivering presentations on the operations of key enterprises within the domestic fuel and energy sector, including the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation.
As part of the business program, a series of presentations featuring the robot is planned to demonstrate the practical application of robotics, machine learning and intelligent sensors in the exploration, extraction and transportation of hydrocarbons.
The organizers note that the integration of this humanoid into OGT 2026 underscores the industry’s strategic focus on digital transformation and the automation of production processes.
